Love One Another

I loved how this little girl was holding her stuffed bunny
and so I thought of the scripture...Love one another as
I have loved you; John 13:34
I paper pieced her dress and popped her onto a Prima tag.
She is a digital image so I just traced the outline of the dress
onto the patterned paper.  I used a real button in place of the
button that was on the image.  You can find this Sherri Baldy
image HERE!  She called Fairy Digi Doodle.
Thanks for stopping to take a look!

He Is With Me

This month we celebrate St. Patrick's Day so I
thought that I would use lovely green colors
and of course pink!!  Pink makes me happy
so I had to use some pink too!
I used the sentiment "I will not fear for He is with me"
because she looks like she doesn't have a worry in the
world.  We can trust that God has us in the palm of His
hands.  His word tells us that we are inscribed on the
palms of His hands in Isaiah 49:16a and He tells us to
"fear not for I am with you" at least 4 times in scripture.
You can find this adorable image HERE! She's a
Fairy Digi Doodle image.  I used lots of
Magnolia Doo Hickey dies and the sentiment stamp
is a Prima Creating in Faith stamp.  I hope that you
will stop by the store and check out all the gorgeous
images and goodies that Sherri Baldy creates!
Have a super blessed day!

Be My Valentine

Be My Valentine!
Tomorrow is the big love day and I wanted to
make a shaker card.  You know I am obsessed
them.  If you haven't made one you should try
it.  It is fun to decide which sequins to put in them.
I colored up a Sherri Baldy digital stamp that was released
last month.  I love coloring hair and silver hair is in.
This girl is called Betty Davis Eyes and you can buy her here!
Thank you for stopping by and I hope that you have a
blessed and happy Valentine's day with your loved ones!

Loads of Love for you!

Hi Besties!
This is my first card of 2019!  We've been busy
with prepping for and enjoying a Bahama cruise.
We had so much fun and look forward to more of them.
I must confess it felt good to get some crafting
and coloring in after enjoying our vacation.
As you know Pink makes me happy so of course I
decided on a pink truck, outfit and rose colored
glasses.  I used silver metallic paper for the chrome bumper
and side mirrors.  You can buy this adorable image
here!  My hubby and I celebrate 22 years of marriage
this month and each year my love grows for him.
Hope your February is full of love too!
Remember love bears all things and believes all
things, love never fails!

Enchanted Unicorn Fairy again

I colored this image a few months ago but I did her as
a blonde.  I wanted to give her a try with black hair.
Again, I made a shaker card.  I so love this image!
You can use the same image and get such a different look.
I made this card for a specific person.  She is in the
hospital and she loves unicorns.  I hope she likes it!
I used Sherri Baldy's designer patterned papers that
you can find here.  You can purchase this image here.
Thanks for looking in and have a blessed week!

Shabby Halloween Card

Hello Bloggers!
It's been a crazy summer...my broken ankle is still healing but I am
slowly getting around.  We decided to go take a trip in the RV before
our busy season starts so I was able to get in some crafting!
It's good to get an early start on your Halloween cards so
I used this Halloween Batty image that you can find here!
I used pinks and blues to make it shabby chic!  I added pearls
to add to the shabby theme.  I used some Sherri Baldy paper
that you can find here!  Thank you for looking in!

Thanks for the Lift!

Remember last month I mentioned that I broke my
ankle and have been in a cast and now a bulky walking boot.
Well, since it's my right foot that means that I can't
drive!  Ugh!  So the sentiment on this card says so much!
Thank you for the lift!!! It may not be on a whale but I'm
still thankful!
I love the striped bowed tie in her hair!  You know that
I love pink so I added grey to match the whale and wanted
to color her up in some yellows.  I did add some glossy accents
to her sunglasses.  This image can be found here! She is part of
the new release!  I love her!!!
Thank you again for stopping by!  Stay cool!

Welcome to Summer!

Hello Friends!
Summer has arrived!  That means pool time, ice cream and air conditioning!
Well that's what it should mean.  I broke my ankle so I am not able to swim but
I can dream, right?!
Dream is exactly what I did!  While laying around with my foot above my
heart I did some coloring and decided on a mermaid image.
You can find this beautiful image HERE.  Sherri is having a sale
so enter in YOURSPECIAL50 and receive 50% off your total
purchase!  She has so much more than just images!
I finally was able to use a metal flower embellishment
that I have had for years.  The color was perfect!
Thank you for stopping by!  Stay cool and have a safe
and fun summer!

Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful

I thought this sentiment would go well with this
Chibi Kawaii Bestie.  She is too cute!
She is her own special kind of beautiful.
I have a grand daughter that will love this card.
I made lots of layers using some designer paper.  I fussy cut her
and then popped her up.  I added a bow made with some
contrasting paper and included some banners.

You can find this image here Chibi Kawaii Bestie!!

Enchanted Magical Unicorn! Oh My!

If you are a reader of my blog then you know that I LOVE to
color hair...so when I saw this digi I had to color her up.
I went to a Crafting Retreat last month and had fun
coloring up a few images and making a few shaker cards.
Yes this is a shaker card!  So much fun!  Can you see the
little purple hearts in there?  I think the wings look
delicate and I added some definition to her back.  You
can find this image Here!
I added some beautiful flowers to finish off the card.
You can color her up with any colors you would
like and it would look totally different.
There are new My Bestie images every month to
choose from so keep checking back.
Thanks for stopping by!   Have a blessed day!

HOPE!

It's still Easter month and it is one of my favorite holidays so...
Proverbs 13:12 says Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.  We should never lose hope!
Keep reaching for that dream and keep hoping!
I so enjoy coloring and this one was fun to color up.
I was at a Crafting retreat this last weekend and this is one
of the few cards that I finished up.  If you would like to
purchase this image or many others, you can find her HERE!
Thank you for stopping by!

Handle Life With Prayer

Hope you had a blessed and happy Resurrection Day!
Easter is one of my favorite days.
I thought this card would be perfect for this months project.
I think male cards are the hardest for me.  I mean it's hard
to keep from adding flowers but these gorgeous flowers are
from Sherri Baldy's booth at the Scrapbook Expo.  I loved
the color and had to get them.  The praying girl stamp
is always a big hit so I thought that I would color up the
"Say a little prayer" boy stamp which you can find here!
Thank you for stopping by!  Blessings!

Little Ducky

With Easter approaching I thought that I would make a gift
card holder for my second March Shabby Chic Besties project.
I stamped this adorable Sherri Baldy image called Little Ducky.
I stamped it onto Recollections #110 white paper and colored her up with Copic markers.  You can find Sophia HERE!
Here are the Copic colors that I used:
Skin:  E50, E51, E53, E35, RV10
Hair:  Y23, E21, E35, E57, E47
Bunny Ears:  E71, E77, E79, R81, E04, BV00
Ducky:  Y13, Y21

I used Kaiser Craft Miss Betty, Tilda and an
oldie, Girls Paperie paper.  I cut the bow from a die from
My Creative Time, the chicken wire die from Tim Holtz,
and layed some leaves I die cut.  I also layered a Magnolia
DooHickey die cut on the edges.  The letters that spell out
"Easter" are from Girls Paperie.  Thanks for stopping by!

So Sweet Little Sophia

Isn't little Sophia sweet?  This image is named after Sherri Baldy's granddaughter, Sophia.  I just had to color her up for my March Shabby Chic Besties project.  You know that I love to color using my Copic markers and working with yellows is always fun too!

You can find Sophia in the shop here!
I stamped her onto Recollections #110 white paper
with black Momento Ink.
I used the following Copic Markers:
Skin:  E50, E51, E53, E35 and RV10
Hair:  Y21, YR23, E15, E18
Dress/Headband: Y0000, Y00, YR20, Y26
Ruffles:  B0000, B00
Flowers:  R81, E04, G21

I used Heaven Sent paper by Prima Marketing Inc.
I love the colors.  I layed a few of my favorite papers
and also used a chicken wire fence die cut.  The gold foil
"So sweet" sticker is from the Paper Studio.  I added some
white seam binding, buttons, pink bead trim, a Prima flower
and a few other misc. trims.  Thank you for visiting and I
hope that you will take a look at Sherri's store!  Have a super
blessed and creative day!

You're In My Heart Forever

Hello friends!  It's been a whole year since I posted but I am so glad to back with new projects for Sherri Baldy - My Besties Shabby Chic Design Team.  Sherri has created beautiful Steam Punk images and here is one that I used.  I love her!  You can find her in the shop by clicking here!   I used E50, E51, E53, E35 and RV10 for the skin.  For the hair I used Y23, E21, E35, E57 and E47.  The clothes and head band were colored with RV00, RV11, RV34, C00, C1 and C3.
It was fun to color this adorable girl with my Copic Markers.  I also used some beautiful flowers in some gorgeous colors to accent the card which I added diamond dust to in different areas.  I popped the image up on foam squares and also popped up the polka dot paper and Tilda background paper.  I added a sentiment and finished it off with the matching button.  Hope you will stay tuned for more Shabby Chic creations!  Thanks for stopping by!

It's A Blue Christmas Snowman

I made this Snowman for my daughter.  She will find out
when she sees this post.  I hope she likes it.  She requested
this color.  This is my final project for Deb as she is
closing her Gone Artsy Zibbet store.  She still has some
styrofoam balls and other shapes as well.
I used my favorite laces and jewels.  I popped
the snowman up on a left over spool and then
covered it in the faux pearl ruffled lace.  I added
the polka dot paper and then used her black lace
to accent the spool.  I added the word bead on
top of a snow flake.

I used the Prima pearls as snow along the feet
and on the hat.  I also used a delicate blue ribbon
from her shop on the hat.
Deb was so generous to all on her Design Team
and I will miss working with her and all the very
sweet and talented designers.  Thank you Deb for
the opportunity to play with your products.
Check out her store before it closed on the 21st
of this month.  I hope that you have a very
blessed Christmas!  See you next year!

When my Mother passed away in 2010 I wasn't able
to get any of her costume jewelry so this project
is special to me.  I took a wooden frame and
painted it white and added some gold paint over
the white.  I used E6000 glue to attach the items.  I
added GA320 Vintage Style Rhinestone Embellishment
to the top.  I put some faux pearls in various areas.
On each side I added GA100 23mm Pearl and Rhinestone
Cabochons to each corner.
I added the GA223 Pearl and Rhinestone Round Wheel
inspired metal embellishment to the bottom.  I used
some Rhinestone cup chain in silver but Deb has a
Faux Pearl and Rhinestone chain GA287 in gold.
I think this is a great way to honor my Mother and Father
and it looks so pretty in my craft room.  Please go and
check out all the goodies that are in Deb's store at

Shabby Chic Hot Air Balloon

It's that time of year when you see
Hot Air Balloons in the sky and friends
are riding them to celebrate birthdays and
other special events.  No thank you!
I like my feet firm on the ground! LOL!
Well I can still make one though!
I started with 2 doilies and then made
them stiff using a product called Stiffy.
You can watch my video here to learn
how to make this.
I used the many beautiful laces that you
can find at Deb's shop.
I used a lace butterfly from the shop too
and added the pearl and rhinestone chain
to the center of it.
I hope that you will go and check out the
YouTube video for the details.  You can
shop at the store here!

Salty Destinations!

I up-cycled an old picture frame.  The glass had broken
and I had it laying around just waiting to be used.
I first painted the backing using some Prima chalkpaint
in a beautiful blue color.  I dipped my cheesecloth in some
Prima heavy gesso and then applied that.  I added the
GA942 Prima Mini Art Stones and the GA941 Art Stones
while it was all still wet.
The labels, Salty and Destination are stickers from
the French Riviera 12x12 Paper pad.  I popped them
up on some thick chipboard to give them dimension
and some sturdiness.  The metal anchor, starfish and
bottle are from the Ephemera kit.
The Shell is from the GA960 Relics and Artifacts kit.
I gessoed it and then added some Rose Iridescent Texture
Paste GA534 in the center.  The statue is part of the kit and
I lightly painted it gold and along the edge of the shell.
I added more of the mini stones that I had painted gold
and pink around the statue.  A few mica flakes in 3 colors
were also added.  I had to add the tricolored
embellishment GA122 at her feet and it still needed
more pearls so I added GA294 the faux pearl garland.
I filled the bottle with the mini stones and some
GA630 Gold Fusion glass to mimic sand.  I rolled
up a tiny piece of the French Riviera paper and tied
it for a message in a bottle.  I am planning on putting
this in our RV.  We love Salty Destinations!
Just thought I would share a picture of all the products
that went into this project!  I loved getting my hands
dirty to make this!  I hope that I have inspired you to
play!  You can find many of these items in Deb's store,
Gone Artsy Zibbet.com and use the code LOVEGA for
a 15% discount!  Thanks for looking in!
